In the absence of such evidence, clinicians may consider recommending that tooth whitening be deferred during pregnancy. (1)ADA Council on Scientific Affairs September 2009 (revised November 2010)

Can I whiten my teeth if I have white crowns, veneers or restorations? The answer is yes, however NO in-clinic or over the counter whitening system can whiten the actual cosmetic restoration.  Our unique liquid based formulas will help restore good condition cosmetic restorations back to their original colour but NOT beyond.  Liquid Based Whitening Systems: Instant Whites Daily White & Instant Whites 7 Day Whitening System  It is important to discuss with your dentist the options available to you if you have one or more visible white cosmetic restoration which is dramatically whiter than the rest of your teeth. Due to the fact that a cosmetic restoration will not whiten beyond its original colour, when using an over the counter or in-clinic whitening system your natural teeth could whiten beyond the colour of any restoration, and so would be more visible. Don't be disheartened, if our liquid based products don't help enough you can always replace any cosmetic restoration to achieve a white smile, please speak to your dentist about the options available for you.  Instant Whites Teeth Whitening Pen & Instant Whites 7 Day Whitening System CAN assist in the whitening of individual teeth and your aid to colour matching.
